Der Rohe was the firs architect that designed simple houses, he opnly needed five metallic pilars, a wall in the middle and a lot of glass to make beautiful houses. Like Walter Gropious, they were the directors of the famous German university "Bauhaus". With a new mentality of study based on practise and only studing the techniques and different tipes opf art.
